This Deluxe Edition celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the release of Rattus Norvegicus and No More Heroes in 1977.
‘RATTUS NORVEGICUS’ – The cover photography for the Rattus shoot was shot on location in a house at Blackheath, London.
‘NO MORE HEROES’ – The original cover photography of No More Heroes had JJ laying on the tomb of Trotsky which was shot on Hampstead Heath. The rat and raven were added along with the tombstones for the graveyard look. It was shot during twilight with art director Paul Henry. The studio shots of the band were then posterised in the chemical side of processing. The final cover with the wreath and rats was shot on 5×4 Sinar in my Marylebone studio. All other photography was shot using Hasselblads.
